Apologies for Absence

Decision:

Councillor Karl Macnaughton tended his apologies and Councillor Max McLoughlin substituted.

Declarations of Interest

To receive declarations of Members disclosable pecuniary interests and conflicts of interest.

Decision:

Councillor Debbie Evans declared an interest in agenda item 8 – Future Shape of Services – due to her being a trustee of DIAL.

Decision:

There were no requests from Members to address the meeting.

Decision:

No questions or deputations were received.

Community Initiaitve Fund Report pdf icon PDF 87 KB

To briefly outline the background to current Community Initiatives Fund (CIF) arrangements and future proposals, and to request approval for the CIF to be dissolved.

Decision:

The Cabinet Portfolio Holder approved the Community Initiative Fund be dissolved.

Additional Saving Targets Report pdf icon PDF 65 KB

To seek approval for additional savings in Adult Care and Support associated with the delivery of voluntary and community sector services.

The existing MTFS saving is £281,000 in 2018/19 and the proposal is for an additional £252,000 in 2018/19 rising to £583,000 in 2019/20. The revised targets will therefore be £533,000 in 2018/19 rising to £864,000 in 2019/20.

Decision:

The Cabinet Portfolio Holder deferred the matter to allow further consideration to be given to the implications following the Community Initiative Fund bid decision.

Additional Savings Target - Public Health Report pdf icon PDF 42 KB

To inform Cabinet Portfolio Holder of the intention for the redesign of Public Health lifestyle services as part of the Councils community wellbeing offer, and seek support for the proposed redesign of integrated lifestyle services and revised budget to commission the new service.

Decision:

The Cabinet Portfolio Holder deferred the matter to allow further consideration to be given to the implications following the Community Initiative Fund bid decision.

Future Shape of Services (Community Wellbeing Phase 1) (To Follow) pdf icon PDF 72 KB

To provide an update on the general position, current plans and progress to deliver Community Wellbeing Services, by bringing together adult care and support information, advice and advocacy support services and public health lifestyle services.

Decision:

The Cabinet Portfolio Holder noted the current position, plans and progress to delivering Community Wellbeing Services.

AC&S Performance Monitoring Report - Q2 pdf icon PDF 125 KB

To update Cabinet Member on Solihull’s performance against the national Adults Social Care Outcomes Framework (ASCOF) and other local key performance headlines at the end of Quarter 2, 2017-18.

Decision:

The Cabinet Portfolio Holder noted the performance headlines and scorecard for Quarter 2 2017/18 Adults Social Care Framework (ASCOF) and local performance measures.

10.

AC&S Financial Monitoring Report - Month 6 pdf icon PDF 44 KB

To inform the Cabinet Member of the Portfolio’s financial position as at 30th September 2017, highlighting any areas of concern and actions being taken to contain expenditure within the approved budget for 2017/18.
