To inform the Cabinet Member of the preparedness for the 2018/19 winter and approve the Winter Service Plan 2018-2022.

The Cabinet Member:

(i) Received the recommendations from the Stronger Communities and Neighbourhood Services Scrutiny Board (17 September 2018);

(ii) Noted the preparedness for the 2018/19 season as detailed in the report;

(iii) Approved the Winter Service Plan 2018-2022 (appendix 1 to the report);

(iv) Approved no action at this time to remove grit bins where abuse or anti-social behaviour is identified and to undertake further work to reduce ASB and bin misuse; and

(v) Granted delegated authority to the Head of Highway Services to implement the hand gritting option subject to favourable responses from Parish Councils.
