NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a special meeting of the Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council will be held in the Civic Suite on Tuesday 8 October 2019 at 5.30 pm and all Members of the said Council are hereby severally summoned andrequired to attend to transact the following business, namely:

That in pursuance of the provisions of Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972, the Council do hereby confer on:

Mr David Bell

The title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Solihull in recognition of the eminent services he has rendered to the Council.

That in pursuance of the provisions of Section 249 of the Local Government Act1972, the Council considered appointing the title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Solihull on Mr David Bell in recognition of the eminent services he has rendered to the Council.

Mr David Bell was nominated by Councillor Mrs Holl-Allen MBE as an Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Solihull, which was seconded by Councillor Hogarth MBE and agreed unanimously by Council.

RESOLVED:

The Council conferred on Mr David Bell the title of Honorary Alderman of the Borough of Solihull in recognition of the eminent services he has rendered to the Council.
