Revenue & Capital Monitoring 2018/19 as at 31st July 2018 To inform the Cabinet Member of the: Additional documents: Decision: The Cabinet Member: (i) Considered and endorsed the 2018/19 revenue and capital financial monitoring forecast as at 31st July 2018; (ii) Considered the Portfolio’s progress against the latest 3 year savings targets in the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) as at 31st July 2018; (iii) Approved the re-allocation of the Capital Programme in 2018/19 as set out in paragraphs 3.7 and 3.8. |

To inform the Cabinet Member of the
preparedness for the 2018/19 winter and approve the Winter Service
Plan 2018-2022. Additional documents: Decision: The Cabinet Member: (i) Received the recommendations from the Stronger Communities and Neighbourhood Services Scrutiny Board (17 September 2018); (ii) Noted the preparedness for the 2018/19 season as detailed in the report; (iii) Approved the Winter Service Plan 2018-2022 (appendix 1 to the report); (iv) Approved no action at this time to remove grit bins where abuse or anti-social behaviour is identified and to undertake further work to reduce ASB and bin misuse; and (v) Granted delegated authority to the Head of Highway Services to implement the hand gritting option subject to favourable responses from Parish Councils. |

Highways Maintenance Plan To inform the Cabinet Member of the revised
code of practice ‘Well-Managed Highway Infrastructure’
and the associated new Highways Maintenance Plan developed to
support the revised Code and the main change that is being promoted
by the implementation of the Code. Additional documents: Decision: The Cabinet Member: (i) Approved the use of the revised Code of Practice – Well-Managed Highway Infrastructure 2016 from 1st October 2018; and (ii) Approve the use of the Highways Maintenance Plan 2018, which supports the Code of Practice in (a) for the management of Solihull’s highway network. |
