To provide the Committee with sufficient
information to enable them to recommend adoption by Full Council of
the revised Statement of Principles under the Gambling Act
The Council’s Regulatory Services Manager reminded Members that the Licensing Authority has a duty to review and publish a Statement of Licensing Principles, under the Gambling Act 2005, every three years.
Solihull Integrated Addiction Service (SIAS) and Public Health England were the only statutory consultees to respond to the consultation process, and the comments received were incorporated, where applicable, along with grammatical corrections.
Members noted the comments made during the consultation and:-
(i) approved the final draft of the Statement of Licensing Principles 2019-2022; and
(ii) to recommend to Full Council, at their meeting on 4 December 2018, the adoption of the Statement of Licensing Principles 2019-2022.
