Statement of Licensing Policy To note the requirement for a statutory review of the Statement of Licensing Policy under the Licensing Act 2003, and agree to a short consultation.
Additional documents: Minutes: The Licensing Committee were informed of the requirement for a statutory review of the Statement of Licensing Policy under the Licensing Act 2003, and the need for a short consultation. The Director for Economy and Infrastructure advised that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and its impact on licensing authorities and the hospitality industry, it would be appropriate to consult on the basis that the current policy be rolled forward and a more comprehensive review be undertaken at a later date. RESOLVED The Licensing Committee agreed to a 20 days consultation period running from 6-25 November 2020, proposing that the existing Statement of Licensing Policy be rolled over in its current form and reviewed in the next 12-24 months, most likely once the Covid-19 pandemic had subsided. The Licensing Committee to consider any representations received on 27 November 2020, and to propose that the Statement of Licensing policy be adopted by Full Council on 8 December 2020. |
