Revenue & Capital Monitoring 2018-19 as @ 31 July 2018 pdf icon PDF 119 KB

To inform the Cabinet Member of the Portfolio’s latest forecast financial position as at the 31st July 2018 against Revenue and Capital budgets as summarised below and detailed in the attached Appendix A.

To inform the Cabinet Member of the Portfolio’s progress against the latest 3 year savings targets in the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) summarised below and detailed in Appendix A.

To inform the Cabinet Member of the Portfolio’s future pressures and mitigations detailed in Appendix B.

(i)  Endorsed the 2018/19 revenue and capital financial monitoring forecast as at 31st July 2018;

(ii)  Noted the Portfolio’s progress against the latest 3 year savings targets in the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) as at 31st July 2018.

To seek approval from the Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities and Partnerships of the Council’s annual Statutory Food and Safety Service Plan and for its implementation.

The Cabinet Member approved the Food and Safety Statutory Service Plan for 2018/2019.

Fixed Penalty Notices - Environment Offences pdf icon PDF 112 KB

To seek the approval of the Cabinet Member to initiate a number of changes in respect of fixed penalty notices as a consequence of legislative change.

Decision:

RESOLVED

The Cabinet Member:

(i)  Approved the increase in the level of the fixed penalties for environmental offences to £100 (reduced to £75 if paid within 7 days).

(ii)  Adopted the ability to issue civil penalties in relation to littering from vehicles; and

(iii)  Approved the level at which the fixed penalty is set for breaching a Public Space Protection Order at £100 (reduced to £75 if paid within 7 days).
