4.

Neighbourhood CIL Report pdf icon PDF 116 KB

To provide an update on proposed spending mechanism for the Neighbourhood proportion of the Community Infrastructure Levy (NCIL) and to seek approval for the scoring matrix which has been developed in order to determine whether projects are eligible for funding.

The Cabinet Member:

(i)  Approved the scoring matrix, which will be utilised to assess proposed projects seeking funding from the neighbourhood proportion of the community infrastructure levy.

(ii)  Agreed the proposed timeline for engagement with communities, submission of proposal bids and decision on successful projects.

 

5.

Review of Solihull's Cemeteries & Crematorium Policy pdf icon PDF 108 KB

To request Cabinet Member Approval for the updated policy in relation to Solihull’s Cemeteries and Crematoriums.

The Cabinet Member:

(i)  Agreed to exclude alcohol from our cemeteries and crematoriums.

(ii)  Approved the revised Policy on Solihull’s Cemeteries and Crematoriums included as Appendix 1.

 

6.

Refurbishment of the Public Toilets at Robin Hood Cemetery pdf icon PDF 107 KB

To request approval for the refurbishment of the Public Toilets at Robin Hood Crematorium.

Decision:

RESOLVED

The Cabinet Member approved the complete refurbishment of Robin Hood Public Toilets (Option 2) at an estimated cost of £15,000.

Registration Service Ceremony Proposals pdf icon PDF 116 KB

To seek approval from Cabinet Member for Stronger Communities and Partnerships to implement changes to our marriage and civil partnership registration services which include the introduction of a third room for marriages/civil partnership, new fees and bespoke ceremony planning service which will provide more choice for customers.

Decision:

RESOLVED

The Cabinet Member approved:

(i)  The introduction of a third ceremony room to offer the basic statutory register office marriage / civil partnership service at the cost of £46.00.

(ii)  Change of use of the current statutory register office (operating out of the small ceremony room) to be a non-statutory ceremony room called ‘the Jubilee Room’ at a new fee rate of £95

(iii)  The introduction of a range of new chargeable services, including ceremony planning, at £45 and personalised stationary.

(iv)  A small increase in the annual charges noted in the table at 6.4.1.
