5.

Proposals to create additional SEND places at Reynalds Cross Special School and Mill Lodge Primary School pdf icon PDF 170 KB

To update Cabinet Member on the outcome of consultation with schools, parents and the wider community on proposals to create an additionally resourced provision for pupils with Autism at Mill Lodge Primary School, and to expand Reynalds Cross Special School.

The Cabinet Member RESOLVED:

(i)  That the outcome of the consultation process on the expansion of Reynalds Cross Special School through the use of Coronation Youth Centre from September 2021 be noted and approved that officers commence the statutory process for the proposal; and

 

(ii)  That the outcome of the consultation process on the creation of an additionally resourced provision at Mill Lodge Primary School from September 2021 be noted and approved that officers commence the statutory process for the proposal.

This report presents an update on the development proposals to create a special Free School catering for pupils with Autism and associated high level Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs located in North Solihull.

The Cabinet Member RESOLVED to approve the disposal of approximately 1.70 hectares of land as shown on the plan as detailed in Appendix A to the report to facilitate the development of the autism special free school.

To inform the Cabinet Portfolio Holder of the financial position for the core service and Dedicated School Grant budgets as at Period 6 2020/21.
