Review of Solihull’s Cemeteries and Crematoriums Policy To request Cabinet Member approval for the
updated policy in relation to Solihull’s Cemeteries and
Crematoriums. Additional documents: Decision: The Cabinet Member for Stronger and Safer Communities: (i) Agreed to exclude the use of grave frames in Solihull’s cemeteries. (ii) Approved the revised policy on Solihull’s Cemeteries and Crematoriums attached as Appendix 1; and (iii) Approved the additional wording to paragraph 7, page 16 of the revised policy as follows: ‘Wooden,metal, plastic or other typesof grave surrounds are not permitted at any of our cemeteries and will be removed.’ (Additional wording in italics).

REVENUE AND CAPITAL MONITORING 2020/21 AS AT 30th SEPTEMBER 2020 To inform the Cabinet Member of the
Portfolio’s latest forecast financial position as at the 30th
September 2020 against Revenue and Capital budgets as summarised

Decision: RESOLVED The Cabinet Member for Stronger and Safer Communities: (i) Considered and endorsed the 2020/21 revenue and capital financial monitoring forecast as at 30th September 2020. (ii) Noted the Portfolio’s progress against the latest 3 year savings targets in the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) as at 30th September 2020. (iii) In accordance with Financial Regulations, approved a budget virement of £64,390 from the Safer and Stronger Communities portfolio to the Environment and Highways portfolio in respect of the Neighbourhoods Wards budget (paragraphs 5.1 - 5.3). |
