Revenue and Capital Monitoring 2021/22 as at 31st July 2021 pdf icon PDF 116 KB

To inform the Cabinet Member of the Portfolio’s latest forecast financial position as at 31st July 2021 against Revenue and Capital budgets.

To inform the Cabinet Member of the Portfolio’s progress against the latest 3 year savings targets in the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS).

The Cabinet Member RESOLVED to:

a)  Consider and endorse the 2021/22 revenue and capital financial monitoring forecast as at 31st July 2021.

b)  Consider the Portfolio’s progress against the latest 3 year savings targets in the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) as at 31st July 2021.

c)  Approve a budget virement of £216,950 between budget book lines within the Environment and Infrastructure portfolio in respect of the Neighbourhood Delivery Team restructure. (paragraphs 5.1 – 5.3 of the report)

d)  Approve to accept the Capability Fund allocated amount of £135,000 and to delegate authority of this to authorised officers in line with the conditions of the funding. (paragraphs 5.4 – 5.5 of the report)

Flood Investigation Report – 25th June 2021 pdf icon PDF 335 KB

To notify Cabinet Member of the findings of an investigation into the flooding on June 25th 2021, primarily across Knowle, Dorridge and Bentley Heath, but also including parts of Monkspath and Hockley Heath, under Section 19 of the Flood and Water Management Act (FWMA) 2010.

Decision:

The Cabinet Member RESOLVED to:

a)  To note the contents of the report attached at Appendix A and the findings of investigations at nine locations across the Borough.

b)  To approve eight flood mitigation schemes, as set out in Table 1 of this report, and their delivery through the National Property Flood Resilience Framework.

c)  To approve the use of up to £27,500 of the 2022/23 Flood Risk Management Budget and £79,000 of budget held in the Flood Risk Management reserve, as partnership funding, to unlock Flood Defence Grant in Aid and Local Levy funding, as set out in Table 2 of this report.
