Presentation of the Proposed New Children's Multi-Agency Safeguarding Arrangements

This report introduces the proposal for the children’s multi-agency safeguarding arrangements in Solihull, to replace the current Solihull Local Safeguarding Children Board in line with changes introduced by the Child and Social Work Act 2017
The relevant Scrutiny Chairman’s permission was sought to add this item to the Forward Plan given it did mot met the 28 days notice rule for a key decision. The Scrutiny Chairman agreed the item could go forward.

These arrangements have been subject of extensive consultation with all partner members of the current Solihull Local Safeguarding Children Board. They have also been presented the Solihull Safeguarding Adult Board as part of the consultation.
In addition the arrangements are being considered by both the West Midlands Police and Birmingham and Solihull Clinical Commissioning Group internal governance arrangements.
