Highway Management Service Priorities and Resources pdf icon PDF 179 KB

To provide an update and opportunity to comment on the Council's statutory Network Management Plan (NMP) for the public highway.

Consider and approve a prioritisation mechanism for the re-established Parking Displacement Programme (PDP), and agree the associated schemes to be taken forward to consultation and if supported, construction.

(a)  Noted progress against the Network Management Plan and its updated Action Plan, as detailed in the report and shown in Appendix A;

(b)  Endorsed the prioritisation framework for the Parking Displacement Programme, as set out in Appendix B;

(c)  Approved the proposed Parking Displacement Programme 2022/23, as set out in Appendix C; and

(d)  Agreed to receive annual updates as part of the Highway’s Asset Management Plan and Community Liveability Programme (CLP) priority setting processes.

To outline the proposed 5-year asset management plan for the key elements of the Urban Traffic Control (UTC) system and to seek approval for the associated expenditure programme, subject to available funding.

To provide the Cabinet Member with an annual update on Flood Risk Management related activities that have been undertaken since adoption of the Local Flood Risk Management Strategy in November 2015.
