The Cabinet Member:

a)   Noted the proposed changes to speed limits as set out in Appendix A and shown on the plans in Appendix B.

b)  Noted the representations received to the proposed speed limit changes and the officer’s technical responses as set out in section 3 of Appendix C.

c)  Approved the proposed speed limit changes, notwithstanding the objections received, as advertised, and set out in Appendices A and B.

Each year the Council receives a high number of requests for new or amended TRO restrictions, many of which relate to parking. Through this report it will agree the priorities for the TRO service in the 2023/24 financial year

a)  Noted the contents of the report and progress in respect of the 2022/23 TRO programme, as detailed in Appendix B.

b)  Approved the recommended TRO programme for 2023/24 as detailed in Appendix C.

c)  Agreed to receive the next update on the TRO programme at the decision-making session in November 2023.

REVENUE AND CAPITAL MONITORING 2022/23 AS AT 30TH SEPTEMBER 2022 pdf icon PDF 177 KB

To inform the Cabinet Member of the Portfolio’s latest forecast financial position as at the 30th September 2022

The Cabinet Member:

a)  Considered and endorsed the 2022/23 revenue and capital financial monitoring forecast as at 30th September 2022.

b)  Considered the Portfolio’s progress against the latest 3 year savings targets in the Medium Term Financial Strategy (MTFS) as at 30th September 2022.

c)  Accepted the Active Travel Fund Tranche 3 ‘Solihull Walking Improvements Project’ allocated amount of £985,500 and to delegate authority of this, including the approval of the funding agreement, to authorised officers in line with the conditions of the funding. (paragraphs 5.1-5.7 of the report)

d)  Noted the allocation of £30,000 from TfWM to progress phase 4 of the School Streets programme and approved the reallocation of the existing £30,000 from this year’s City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement allocation from phase 4 of the School Streets programme into measuring and aiding compliance of the existing school street sites across the Borough (paragraphs 5.8-5.9).
